I was born without much artistic ability! My stick figure drawings haven't really done much to inspire others or myself haha. I've been searching the internet for that perfect design for my next tattoo and I just can't seem to find what I want. Does anyone else feel like they are cheating themselves (and the artist) by just selecting a design they like and having it copied onto their skin? I definitely do. At the same time I don't want to leave it up to the tattoo artist unless I knew them personally and could explain and criticize their piece until it was perfect for me.
I guess a mixture of both methods is the best bet. And learning to draw like a pro isn't a solution for me :P Thoughts?

@tbars I did that for my last one. Unfortunately I'm pretty unhappy with the artists freehand work to "merge" the concepts together. It was probably his execution though.

I don't let anyone tattoo me without approving the sketch first. I've learned my lesson with a couple crappy tattoos. We all have them.
