What a crazy day. Off to Portugal on Monday with a couple of mates. So did that thing where you look for your passport at the very last minute. (Yeah I know this is a recipe for disaster!) Upon finding the passport and laughing over a picture of me, big sideys and ponytail looking like a man with a history of violence, I was suddenly distracted by the expiry date - end of June.

Wa heh I thought, glad that the passport hadn't expired. Then one of those not-so-helpful mates pointed out that some countries insist on at least six months left on your passport.

I was sufficiently worried to ring round various places in search of an answer - hopefully a positive one. Had a hilarious encounter with the automated call centre at the Portuguese embassy - all in Portuguese, which seems to me to be a nonsense language. I'm sure the person that recorded the message can't speak Portuguese and was just endlessly repeating silly made up words.

My salvation came in the form of Madge at the Luton Easyjet call centre - heh you gotta trust Madge - who informed me I'd be fine.

Watch out for me on the next edition of Airline, I'll be the one at the Easyjet counter berating the staff, quoting Madge's name and waving my hands around pointlessly.

So it's been one of those days when you'd like to be like this....
