I just got back from the longest vacation of my life, 10 days.
I went to visit my girl in Lincoln for Christmas and New Years.
Hung out with her family (the first time in 29 years I haven't spent it with my family)
It was weird not being with my family, but it wasn't weird being with hers.
Hung out at Iron Brush Tattoo in Lincoln.
Trying to arrange a job for when I move out there.
If nothing else, I think I made some friends there.
Read to books with / to my girl.
Ate good Thai food.
Made dinner for her family ( salmon on the grill with ginger, basil, lime, and mushrooms)
Had an all vegetarian Christmas dinner.
Two days after Christmas we went over to her friends' house (they're from Jordan) and ate myself stupid (my dad usually does middle eastern food Christmas eve, so I made up for it my stuffing myself)
Made donuts with chocolate and coffee frosting, potato leak soup, and hummus (not all at the same time)
Went to bed early on New Years Eve (woke up just in time to watch the clock flip, I woke her kissed her told her I Love You and we went back to sleep)
Spent way to much time at O'Hare with far to little sleep.
Got a lathe and accessories so I can start making jewelry.
New jacket.
Books.
Had a great time.
Got back in town and started my new job(I'm still piercing full time, I just picked up a part time job in the props department at Krannert to make some extra money)
