I was going through a long live music dry spell there, but it seems to have broken.
Went out to see Xavier Rudd last night. A couple friends have been bugging me to see him for a long time, and I finally went.
Pretty amazing dude. He plays digeridoo (when he isn't singing), this crazy guitar variant, and drums with his feet all at once. I have no idea how so many sounds could come from a single guy...
Odd crowd, though. People were really excited when he came on, especially for the encore, but talked through the entire show. Sometimes I don't understand the Vancouver crowd. sigh...
Also noticed that Hawksley Workman is coming to town. Will have to check that out. I'm not super into him at the moment, but he'd put on a pretty amazing live show.
And Gotan Project this week.

Xavier Rudd huh? i've never heard of him... but from your description he sounds to be a bit like Keller Williams. i saw him on a whim in Spokane once, and it was an awesome show. one guy, and he makes amazing music all by himself.
anyway, nice to meecha!
