First of all, thankyou to everyone who commented to wish me well. It really is appreciated lots, even if I haven't had the opportunity to reply and say thankyou. My account should run dry over the next few days, but fear not... They can't keep a good Matt down. Or even a bad, vaguely smelly one. I shall return soon enough - a significant part of my first pay cheque (yes, I have a job and everything) will be going on getting connected at my place, and on renewing my membership on this here site. When I return properly - rather than in this entry, which is being typed at 4.20 in the morning at a friend's flat, after a good night of ridiculous dancing - I will tell you all tall tales of my life here in Leeds. Some of them might even be true.
