And so I return, riding a wave of apathy into the beautiful rain-drenched harbour of lethargy. My home situation isn't technically any better, but it's a lot more emotionally stable with less drama and crazy neuroses abounding. Words like 'solicitor', 'bailiffs' and 'court' are regular features in my parental conversations, to give you an accurate impression of the current events. On the plus side, I've just spent two funpacked days around the North-West, which I will handily bullet point for ease of presentation. So when you go into that board meeting on my life next week, you can just copy them straight onto an overhead acetate.
- Drove down to Liverpool with my friends Jenny and CJ to attend a housewarming party and then wander along to the Krazyhouse, a club of no mean size and fair to middling musical quality. Confused all and sundry with glowstick dancing to Slipknot. Oh, the memories. Also watched Shrek 2 while I was there, which was great.
- Caught the train to Manchester and met up with my mate Guy, and then further along the line with my ex and guardian angel Hellen. Went to see The Cure at the Move Festival. I'd tell you how good it was, but to be honest you shouldn't have to be told. They did play my favourite 3 Cure songs all in a row, which was groovy.
- Jumped into a taxi and headed to Jilly's for a night of further glowstick chicanery and carousing. Unexpectedly saw 4 delightful SG'ers of my former acquaintance, namely Fallen_Seraph, Wrathchild. Vampsinthe78 and the ever-gorgeous Felidae. Plagued these good people for a while and then hopped onto the train back home.
- Went into town today after a brief sleep to buy my train tickets for the Manchester/Stoke extravaganza next weekend. Blue hair and SG goodness, what weekend could ever promise more?
