I am now working on Death Claims for the next couple of weeks while the rest of the departments at my work catch up with my team. It's interesting, boring and depressing all at the same time. Working without targets on a much easier input system makes things chilled out, but that's counterbalanced by reading about people dying all day. The death certificates aren't actually all that sad, because the medical jargon makes them clinical. It's the occasional letters that get to you. Some of them are very touching.

I'm spending a lot of time off work right now anyway, to make sure my mum isn't on her own. Getting a three day weekend starting tomorrow however, and am going out a bit which will be a welcome release. Off to the local tonight and then to Jilly's tomorrow for the delightful Fallen_Seraph's birthday. Much merriment will be had I feel.

I am truly shocked by how good the new Slipknot album is.
