So, here it is, my year. Not the best, but I'm sure a lot of people have had it worse. I'm gonna break this down into little point things because otherwise my writing style will turn it into some huge swamp of text that even less people will bother to read...

1. I finished university. I really wish I hadn't, I miss almost everything about it so much. I miss York and being a student. It's not even as if I finished on a high point, I mean I graduated but my grade wasn't that hot. If only I could move round in a permanent circle of learning and studentship, but then I wouldn't really be moving then - just stagnating.

2. I moved back to Blackpool, which I hate. This whole place drags me down. It's filthy and pointless. The only good part of it is The Tache, which is a metal club that actually plays the music I like. It doesn't matter that it's a bit of a hole - it's cool and friendly and it's my sanctuary every Thursday and Friday night.

3. I cut my hair off, which I'm currently really regretting. I quite liked having a skinhead-style thing, but growing it back long is going to be a living hell.

4. I went through a really bad breakup in February, the direct effects of which went on into June and the ripples of which are still lapping gently at my self-esteem.

5. I lived for the first half of the year with my two best friends, as well as a psychopath who used to write abusive graffiti about us on the furniture and generally act like a complete freak. In the end we had to ask her to live since she wasn't paying her rent.

6. I started work at a pub called The Shovels, which was a mixed bag. On one hand the staff are really cool and I've made some very good friends. On the other hand it's minimum wage and some unnamed chemical there has completely scourged my fingers.

7. I've had some shit go down which has estranged me from ex-girlfriends and friends that I had virtually no control over. Some of it was justified, some not.

I'm really thinking hard to come up with something positive out of this year. It's just not happening. Shit, I must sound really bad. Just ignore all of this.
