Hows the world treating you all? I must say I had a killer weekend. The first gig on Friday night was so so, not many people there so we just used it as a practice and played a few songs we had only played together once. Turned out well actually, Mike went on for about 10 minutes with an awesome drum solo. This gig was followed by a lock in, which was equally as fun.... and I definitely regretted it the next morning.
The gig on Sunday night was what made the weekend. Started off bout 9:15 with about 12 people in the bar, including friends. By the end of the first set the room was packed, so much so that you couldn't get in or out, and the bar was a challenge too. The second set was where the fun started, the crowd went crazy. There were people falling over, singing, jumping... good fun. At one point a very inebriated lad fell over the monitor which knocked over Dan's (the singer) mic and ended up hitting him in the face.
My little bro hasn't had such a good weekend. He passed his driving test about 3 weeks ago and has had his car for 2. I get a phone call last night bout midnight saying he's had his car pinched. Fucking Kirkby scum bags for you. Said I would pick him up after police had been, which took them 3 hours to get from the station to him. The station being one street away from where he was. Ridiculous.

I'm a much better singer than I am a bass player though I'm making a concerted effort to get back into playing after, what, five years? argh!
