slept three hours this morning, then got up at 8 to vote. worked, boring as hell. went to ted's to watch election returns, and made a big batch of mushroom risotto for all their friends. election night is abysmal of course, except for winning 60 bucks from ted and wendy playing c-lo. to me that's a pretty nice take. about a dollar a minute if i were working. this whole election thing is going to be another shit-storm, i can smell it in the air. if you listen closely you can hear the death rattle of democracy, i think has a texas drawl. people in this country are nuts. what i really would loved to have seen would be for nader to swing the election to kerry, so all the backstabbers who were on his dick before the 2000 results came in, and who are defaming him this year, would have to turn around and supplicate to the man. a lifetime of good work is being disregarded because the so called left is being sucked into the democrats propaganda. it all comes down to the democrats fear of a power shift. they dropped the ball in 2000, and immediately started spinning it against ralph. if gore had run a strong campaign, and stood up rather than conceding to the supreme court decision, it would have beena different story. what really kills me, however, is that it was 'for the sake of our democracy', 'respect their decision even though i don't agree with it', what kind of shit is that? by allowing the court to essentially appoint this fucking moron, he undermined the most basic principles of democracy. nader is a scapegoat, and the fucking bourgiose liberal elite are sheep following a democratic party that abandoned the true left years ago. what ever happened to power to the fucking people?
