skull went out for mel's bday last night, cut short because erick was cranky as ever, and wanted to go home. mostly napping and watching a bunch of history docs on discovery/times channel today. not much else to do. cold outstide... going home for dinner tomorrow, get to see laura and the baby. hopefully seth'll be in town too, but who knows. malybe i'll come up...

skull stayed up far too late watching 8-mile last night. was surprised that i actually enjoyed it (not much else on). felt out of it all day at work, just couldn't get my ass out of first gear. definately ready for the weekend. need to pick up some new music, i think. fucking hellcat movie must have been pushed back, kind of a dissapointment, but what're...

yea 8 mile wasn't half bad surprisingly.

this is only tattoo #2 and the first is small and was done by someone who at that point was not very experienced (he dragged a lot and the speed wasn't high enough) still i have a terribly low tolerance for pain and tend to panic easily. plus this is all outline. phew. we'll see.

skull picked up a couple of birthday presents for mel last night, and fell asleep before the sopranos even came on, guess i was beat. no big plans for the weekend, beyond going out for drinks and a bite to eat with erick and doreen friday night after work. maybe philly, who knows... grabbed a bottle of black buca on my way home, have to brew...

skull i've been on a bit of a negative rant lately. not sure why, really. more content than i've been in years, for the most part. got snags here and there, but do mostly as i please. need to get off of that kick. might be taking a road trip with seth in december. drive down to florida to see dad if he's still working down...

i've been trying to figure out what kind of keystone i wanna get. my latest thought was keystones as drama masks (you know, happy and sad) with a banner that has both 215 (where i grew up) and 717 (where i've been since i was 18) on it. not sure where i'd want it either... but i have a feeling my roommate would draw it for me.

skull spent time with seth and jule, it was nice. after dropping them at the train station in downingtown i stopped at erick and d's. sara and jeff were in town probably the last time i'll see them before they head out for their peace corps gig. sara was as insufferable as ever. spewing her narrowly defined liberalism. her feminist reasoning is so circular as to...

skull seth gave me a call while i was at work, sounds like he and julia are coming to town tonight. i guess they want to spend their anniversary weekend here. i'll probably pick them up at the train station. can't believe they've been together a year. adds up to over a year since he and eri ended and almost a year since jenn and i...

skull found out last night that armstgon is laying of 450 people starting a week before christmas, closing the flooring plant. it kills me that a large part of my job is to basically cater to execs, etc. bothers me most of the time but especially now. just wrote a great menu for a special event for lockhart and his exec team, now i have to...

alley cat is pretty chill, a good friend is friends with the owner's son. the crowd tends to be meatheadish guys in their early 30s (ew) but the atmosphere is nice.

stubby's on shippen is my favorite bar tho. hands down.

next friday i'm going alllll the way to moonwalkerz in hanover for ink. good artist, good deal, i know his work is incredible. it's a piece drawn but kurt vonnegut jr (my favorite aauthor of basically all time) from slaughterhouse five.

i eventually want to finish my lower stomach piece. it's kind of an ode to my granmothers and great grandmothers and hopefully eventually something for my parents as well over my womb. right now i have one of the three basic components done (a small pi sign for my one grandma)

skull a thought on 14-eye doc martens.
when you by 14-eye docs, you're actually buying 28 eye docs which adds up to 56 (assuming you have both legs intact). that's a lot of eyelets to lace. i think i'm going to become a moron from here on out, ignorance is bound to be a lot less torcherous than awareness at this point. skull

i like my 10- eye steel toes.

and b&n ain't bad but like i said i got for the magazine perusal and i prefer that at borders.

i just get books from the library because i am poor as fuck.

skull four more years of this shit, tonight i believe i'll drink. skull

word. i'm in the northeast section of the city, near lancaster general. i actually like it quite a lot... smaller and quieter than philly (grew up there) but not as dead as gettysburg (went to college there).

i'm more of a borders girl tho. my roommate and i tend to do the whole sit with a cup of coffee and a stack of magazines for 2 hours thing.

i couldn't agree more about needing a drink after this nonsense.
