I would like to speak about the movie Irreversible. Who see it and who like it ?

I was really scared to see it and I just look on DVD at home to be in a quiet place.
I was very shoked by the fight at the beginning on the movie. It is in a gay place. The fight is very violent but the most shoking is all the gay men around are just masturbating themselves because they are excited to see a man who is bleeding.
Do the director really think gay people are like that ?

the rape.
I was scared to see that. One minut afetr the rape has beginning, I tell me "Belluci has nice legs".
"she is cute". THAT IS THE PROBLEM. The director makes an aesthetic stage with a rape. and a rape is never cute or nice to see.

And, after 5 mn, I was bored. It was an horrible feeling for me as a feminist. I was looking a rape and I was bored. I was not shoked or scared but just annoyed !

We don't have to look what violence is to denounce something. I don't have to see a rape to know and to understand what it is.
Right now people show us violence because they don't want to think how we can speak without showing.

It is very difficult to speak about violence without showing I know. But we have to know how we can.
