A young man and two women were found dead in a car here Sunday in a suspected group suicide, police said.
At around 3:05 p.m., a passer-by found a man and two women dead in a car parked in a forest in the Fujiwara district of Minakami, about eight kilometers northeast of JR Minakami Station, and alerted police.
Officers rushed to the scene, and confirmed that the man and two women, all of them appearing to be in their 20s, were dead in the vehicle that bore a Niigata license plate. Police are trying to identify the three.
