Yesterday visited the Columbus Zoo. Feel as though I should start by saying that CBus doesn't know how or where to use or place road signs.
After two U-Turns I arrive. As you drive in they've dedicated a good 10 acres of their land to making a water park. Not for penguins. Not for otters. But for people.
Their animals looked very healthy. So that was nice to see. They all looked warm and well fed.
Some of the tiny habitats got me misty eyed.
New animal poll: Been wanting another reptile/amphibian. Should I find a mate for Princess Xeno (African Clawed Frog)? Been thinking about a Dart Frog? I already grow froggy food.

Talked to a co-worker who lives near Cincy and he was telling me about the zoo down there. Said things like: They are known as the breeding zoo. They are the only zoo to captive breed rhinos and actually get a baby. They're up to 33 low-land gorillas from successful breeding. And tearing down some parking lot to add to the elephant corral. Will need to look into this stuff.
