I love technology, even though I don't always use it. This journal doesn't get my best because I think more intuitively with pen and paper (remember those?). I embrace the revolution but refuse to let go of the old ways. Power can always go out, disk drives can get corrupted, millions of bytes of digital information can magically disappear in the blink of an eye. At work I back things up but still end up rolling up my sleeves and doing things manually. A couple pounds of differing density, squirrelly grain, a burn mark here, fuzzed blowout there, and all of sudden I shut it all down and do things the old way. Old reliable.
I should be outside putting up my mailbox (yes the one with a door on it out by the road) that got ran over this weekend. The box itself survived because I built it to. No tin box for me. I'm weird that way. I just like quality around me. It soothes me, makes me feel secure.
Even music I think affects me. I tend to notice when I'm working on projects for churches or anything elaborate I gravitate toward listening to classical while I work. The mostly redneck guys around me don't get it. It somehow makes me feel different, and the results show this. Being weird after a while in itself is soothing. You don't have to struggle to constantly be normal that way....

I love dancing...
it would have been funny had we danced together at some point...

Normalacy is over rated... Weirdness is definatly much yummier ... also quality is worth it. and whatever it takes to get quality is worth it.

My entry is completed and suitable for consumption now... if you wanted the rest of the story...

I hope you had a great Christmas.
We do call them the Northern Lights up here. Also, the picture titled "aurora 4" in your folder is breathtaking. smile
