So anyway...

Since I last said anything here (which was, like, a year ago) a bunch of stuff has happened. I left that job that was pissing me off at the end of last June. I spent October through January working in a French language environment, which was a little weird. I went houseboating last summer. It was much drinking on a boat in a period of time after I had more or less topped drinking. Hmm. It was still fun but perhaps not as much as it could've been.

Oh, and I had a baby. Her name is Moira. She is two weeks old today. Here we are in the hospital the day after she was born.

She was delivered by c-section after twelve hours of waiting around. I wasn't actually in labour or bleeding so was (understandably but annoyingly) always at the end of the line of people waiting for the OR and an available obstetrician. Right now she's adorable but tends to spend the hour and a half or so between 1:00 am and 2:30 am yelling. Sigh.

Oh, and my nipple piercings are still there (they leak milk, the right one especially) but are no longer bearing jewelry and will probably close up. Also sigh.

So, yeah, I am a mom now and not currently working. And I'm sleepy. Hooray!
