Well, this has been a lesson in harsh realities.

I am good enough for the show with the cast so large that they cast anyone who can carry a tune in a bucket (and some men who can't), but not good enough for the one where there's any sort of selection process. And as I have only done one other show with this company, I have insufficeint clout to be cast based on theatre nepotism.

Ah.

I guess this is not that much of a surprise. My father has been telling me that I am, at best, only barely good enough for community theatre for years. I'm still not exactly having fun, though.
