I think I have come to a pretty big decision in my life: As soon as I get home and work for maybe 6 months, I think I will join the peace core and live in a different country and help people out for 2 years. Then its off to graduate school...What do ya think?


I know it's been a while, but I didn't do that much while in Hamburg. Hamburg was a nice city, kinda boring. They have a huge harbor there, and nice parks. I took my days in Hamburg as relaxing days. I would go out walking for about three hours then come back and sleep or read. They were having a free music concert, which was cool. Nice punk and ska bands. It was interesting to go to a festival in Germany.

I arrived in Amsterdam yesterday. The train took six hours, blah. I did end up sitting next to an Amercian from Massachusetts.

Amsterdam is beautiful. Yesterday I just walked along the canals. Of coarse all you could see was coffee (cough-ee) shops everywhere, and there were just tourists walking everywhere. It is even hotter here than in Hamburg. I took a shuttle to the beach (about 45 min. away)and got here just in time to see the sun set on the beach. Beautiful. The shuttle ride was really nice too.

So today I will succomb to my beach bum urges, and spend the whole day on the beach, returning to Amsterdam tonight. Oh yeah.
