Ok, it's official. I am moving to Budapest, Hungary
*ok, not really but I can dream, right?. It is just
unbelievible here! Left Cluj, Romania on the midnight
train last night and arrived at 7 am this morning.
After I checked in I walkd around even though I was
incredibly tired, didn't hardly get any sleep on the
train since I didn't have a bed only a seat. This
city is the cleanest city so far, has some excellent
architecture, and a decent public transportation
system. I was riding the subway today and I could
sure tell I was not in Romania anymore, and not just
the fact that I was on a metro. This girl that
couldn't have been more than 15 had an infant and was
asking for money, and just about all the people gave
her money. Not very many beggars on the streets of
Budapest.
After I walked around for a bit I decided that I
needed to check out the Turkish thermal baths, which
budapest is famous for. I could've stayed their all
day long. After I was their for a few hours I decided
I needed to splurge and get some neat treatment there.
I went for a 15 minutes full body massage because my
muscles were hating me for a while there.
AAAHHHHHHHHHH....
The natives seem to be really nice. Two times today I
just stopped for a few minutes and people would come
up to me and ask if they could help! Nice, huh?
Tomorrow I think I will go to the House of Terror
Museum. Here's the description: Once the headquarters
of the dreaded AVH secret police, it focuses on the
crimes and atrocities committed by Hungary's fascist
and Stalinist regimes. Then I will visit St Stephen's
Basilica, where St Stephen's mummified hand, the so
called Holy Right Hand or Holy Dexter.
I am leaving for Vienna on Thursday
