so much has happened.
i am trying to go out more now. me and my ex have been broken up for a while now, and so i am trying to have fun and meet new peeps in my new town (SF). so far i just keep running into other exgirlfriends, which is great for the casual hookup because it is casual with a good mix of comfortable. but yeah, i gotta quit going to bed with girls and expecting nothing to happen.
other than the weirdness of stepping back out into an active single life...
i did newyear's in vegas totally sober with close friends and it was really fun. i learned that it doesn't really matter what you are doing, so much as who you are doing it with.
also, i saw sideways, and that is a good one. i definitely recommend it.
i also just bought nick hornby's "the pollysyllabic spree" (a book of essays about reading books). i got it at dave eggers' pirate store 826 Valencia. it's weird to actually see his magazines and store/tutoring center after having read his autobiographical book. did anybodyelse know that his sister passed away? scary bad. how much bad luck can a few people have?
tom waits' new album rocks "hoist that rag" is a fuckin great pirate song
i also reccomend checking out jollie holland to anyone who is interested.
