@sper love this shot! Thanks for suggesting the location and for being flexible. I'm glad things went smoothly even though it was a bit spur of the moment. I love the collage too! Reminds me of flipping through family albums, which is something I enjoy doing whenever I visit home. It's tough to be so far from family, mine is only five hours south but it seems like they're so far.

A friend who moved here from S. Korea said that in the U.S. she had a good career and income but not much social life. In S. Korea she didn't have a good job or much money but her social life was fantastic. She's still here.

I finished my semester with A's which i'm thrilled and flew to see my family in Venezuela the night i finished my classes.
It was a whirlwind, i missed my flight and had to reschedule which took all my work/savings money x_x :( but it's worth it...

Yeah I guess tone of voice and accent must have a pretty big impact on understanding, even if the words you're speaking are correct. I've had lots of non-native English speakers tell me New Zealanders are hard to understand because our accent is very clipped and abrupt, and we speak way too fast - and now that I'm aware of it I listen to conversations and I think wow, we do speak way too fast...
