YAY!! My new set is up! I have the afternoon off today, for a sad reason, but I logged on and I saw that my new set was up. There's only one thing I can do now.... make another set!!
I have been so busy, I got a second job working some nights at the emergency animal hospital. (caddok, if you read this, I'm sending a GRIN your way) This job kicks ass, I get to do things and see things I didn't think I ever would! It is far more exciting than a day practice. This is why my journal entries have been infrequent.
On a not so groovy note, the reason I'm off this afternoon is because I am going to a funeral for a friend of mine. This past weeekend, he was on his motorcycle, driving the wrong way on the road, with his girlfriend on the back. I don't know if they were wearing helmets and it is thought that alcohol may have been a factor. He ended up slamming head on into a JEEP killing himself and his girl. The people in the JEEP were taken to the hospital and are OK. I am holding up alright, but I am somewhat angry as well. I hope that those of you who read this realize the importance of motorcycle helmets and DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!! Everybody out there has friends who care about them and to do something as sensless as drinking and driving is stupid and way weak. If you die this way, your friends will be sad and mad... there's no sense in being angry at a dead guy, I'm not sure of exactly what happened, I wasn't there. However, it is frustrating to think about how short a life my friend lived. He was only 22!! People have sooo much to live for and what happened was so not cool. I will miss him dearly. Think about this the next time you are drunk and want to drive. I'm just some chick from NM and it happened to one of my friends. It can happen to ANYONE. Be careful and safe out there, you groovy kids. Party hard, but party safe. Remember the people who care about you. MaryJane
