belly dancing is coming along beautifully. at first, at the very beginning of lessons, i felt like a new born giraffe learning how to walk. i wasn't clumsy, so much as i didn't even know what to do with my arms while shimmying my hips. now, it's all coming together and i can move without even thinking about it. the music seems to move right through me and it makes me move all belly dancer like. it's pretty cool, i wanna do a video on sg of the dance, it would be so fun. i think i will do that in a few months. right now i really need to get off my lazy ass and send in a set. do any of you have any suggestions for ms. mj and how you would like to see her in a new set? if so, post here. smile

You're taking bellydance lessons?!?!?! YAYYY!!! Don't you just love it!? Oh, you should ABSOLUTELY do a video of you dancing!! Have you seen the Belly Dancing group I started? There's not a whole lot of activity going on there lately, but there's a link there to a video of ME bellydancing (if you can open it, that is; some folks had some trouble. It seemed to work best with MediaPlayer for me). Would so love to see you there! biggrin

Ideas for a new set... Well, of course, a bellydancing one would be great, but there's enough controversy with dancers trying to shake the "right next door to strippers" stereotype, so that probably wouldn't work... Maybe just something with sort of an Arabic/Middle Eastern theme in general. Let me cogitate on that for a bit... biggrin
