My Birthday is Coming Up!

or: I Don't Want to Think About Depressing or Stressful Things Right Now

Like:

* The incredible pain of recovering from having my hips cut apart, repositioned and screwed back together (at least I can legitimately tell people to bite my shiny metal ass now)

* The very sick 12 year old dog in our care who is suffering from liver failure and may have to be euthanized any day. Heckler & I have been struggling to get her to take her medications...

* The overwhelming number of cats we have coming into the rescue and the fact that I do not have enough foster homes to place them in. As the foster coordinator, this falls directly on my shoulders and I don't know what to do

* I think I flubbed my phone interview for a job I really want (NEED), not that I am able to return to work yet, but I'm doing my best to line something up

* Weight gain frown It is bound to happen when you don't leave home for four months and you spend most of your time in bed. I guess it's not too bad, but I'm sure nobody likes extra chub on themselves. I'm eating well, but I don't have the strength yet to do much - I can only walk within the house, when I go out I have to be in the wheelchair; I have physio exercises to do, but I can't say that they burn a lot of calories or anything.



I don't have a wishlist on SG, but here are some things that are appealing as birfday presents. I can't afford retail therapy, so internet window shopping it is!
