In other news, Heckler arrived here on Monday evening
(I've got so much to be happy and thankful for today, srsly) He got here safely, and his passport did not get stamped this time with a "must return by" date, I am going to keep him ♥ Well, we want to go about the immigration process legally, so I may not to keep him too too much longer than a couple of months, but I'm still thrilled about this news
Things have been a little quiet around our house though, as I have pneumonia. My doctor theorizes that my cold developed into bronchitis, then eventually pneumonia. I had gone to the clinic after I'd had my cold for well over a week (and I was losing sleep because of the cough), but the doctor there dismissed it as a virus and sent me home without taking my temperature, or swabbing my throat or anything like that. By Sunday I could hardly breathe, so I went into my doctor's office (which also has a clinic) and was sent home with nearly $200 worth of prescriptions
I actually couldn't afford one of the inhalers (which was a steep $92 before tax), but I got heavy duty antibiotics, an inhaler and some pain killers. I'm slowly recovering... but I've missed nearly two weeks of work. I work in respite care, so unfortunately I can't go in if I even *think* I'm sick. But I remain thankful that I do have a job to go back to when I'm better 
I pretty much HAVE to go into work tomorrow evening, but my antibiotics should have helped a little by then.
I think we're doing pretty well with our preparations for the wedding and the holidays. I've got 90% of my Christmas cards made, with a good chunk of them mailed. I'm due to (finally) venture out of the house tomorrow, to do some shopping sans kids, and to pick up their Christmas portraits. I love the holidays. So much. This year is extra special because I get to celebrate it with SO many of the people I love. Even Pagz may join us for our annual Christmas Eve dinner & celebration What a wonderful time of year!

Thank you for the card, lady miss. So does that mean you guys will be there for sure this year? The weather looks like it'll hold out for us, too. The sis and I will be coming together Sunday, and my parents will already be down there, so it looks like a go. Yay, I haven't seen you is so, so, so long.
