So, I was talking to the Mormons last night....

There are a few Mormon Missionaries in my neighbourhood - I think they are staying in an apartment nearby. Anyway, they're always near my house because of this one friend of mine a few doors down. I think she is seeking purpose in life, or answers, or, maybe she is just lonely. The Mormons are always at her door. I'm all for broadening one's spiratual plane, and I deeply respect her for taking steps on her spiritual journey.

What I'm not a big fan of is knocking on someone else's door and putting your religion in their face. My dog scared off the Jehovah's Witnesses a few months back, so they don't come around much any more. I did appologise to the ladies, and explained that they react that way when anyone comes up the steps that they're not familiar with. The Mormons are relentless though.

I was outside chatting with "Resum Friend" and his ex-fiance (but I think they might be getting back together?!) and the Mormons come up to say hi. They seem like nice fellas and all, but it's hard to be yourself around people who seem only out for the conversion, you know? They asked me about my dog (I had Bear outside with me) and they asked about my home life and if I needed anything done around the house (light-bulb changing, heavy lifting, etc.). I politely refused.

When they offered Resum Friend help moving, he actually accepted. There were these two, very well-groomed dudes in suits loading boxes into the truck. Is that taking advantage of someone? I dunno, because they offered and stuff, right?

Remember me saying something about having troubles saying no to people? Well, the missionaries are coming for tea on Monday afternoon. Oh man. I was thinking about making cookies or something, but they don't do chocolate, do they? And my chocolate cookies are the best ones I make.... does anyone know if Mormons are allowed peanut butter? I'm serving herbal tea that is free of caffine, so that should be okay. My friend on the spiritual quest is also attending tea that day, so at least I won't be all alone.

And is it totally evil that I couldn't stop thinking about Orgazmo when I was talking to them? I'm so going to hell skull

Bored & Busy
I've got a gazillion freaking things to do today. My friend drops her kids off with me on Friday afternoons for a couple of hours. One of them is a major clean freak, and she won't step on the floor if there's dog hair or any other visible ick. I know, I know, I should prolly just let her sit on the entrance mat and suffer... but she's my friend's kid and I want her to at least kind of enjoy her time at my house. Needless to say, I've got a lot of stuff to clean up before she gets here. I also have painting to do, and I'm procrastinating... I like painting, it's just all the prep of moving stuff around that I don't like. My windows are also hella dirty, so I'm gonna hafta clean those too. Man. I hate cleaning house. Maybe I should take the Mormons up on the whole help thing, hey? Think they do windows?
