Lat night I was up late with my friend Kiera rehearsing our dance for folk-fest. We are doing a traditional number called a Nadira, which is a very fun, high energy people dance. Lots of swishing hips and turns. It 's loads of fun. I am a little nervous about it, but I think that once I feel like I have the choreography down I will be more confident and then be able to relax and have fun with it.
If anyone is from Victoria and is planning to attend Folk Fest, I hope that you come watch us perform. It's Farideh Dance Arts and we are performing in the afternoon of July 3rd. I'm not sure the specific time, but I will find out and post it here.
