Missed watching Sam Raimi's original 'Evil Dead' starring Bruce Campbell? Worry not, it is returning to theatres near you!

There are very few old horror movies out there which are still capable of scaring the daylights out of people, even in this era of Ultra-HD graphics and the original Evil Dead is undoubtedly one of them.

Starring Bruce Campbell, Ellen Sandweiss, Hal Delrich, Betsy Baker, and Theresa Tilly, the 1981 supernatural movie is a horror gem and to celebrate its legacy, the movie is returning to theatres, reimagined in 4K, imagine the TERROR.

(IMDB)

Grindhouse is bringing back the Sam Raimi classic to theatres near you and this time, you can catch all the blood and gore in 4K quality along with a brand new score! And, if THAT wasn't scary enough, these special screenings of Evil Dead will be held at MIDNIGHT.

“Mixing the sound for Evil Dead in the early '80s, we were forced to shove everything into one monaural box," talking about the new score, Campbell said in a statement. "As a result, Joe LoDuca’s great score had to compete unfairly with Kandarian Demons, gore sound effects, and lots of screaming. With this new release, Joe can finally have his dynamic composition mixed, balanced and featured properly – for perhaps the first time ever!”...

“With this fantastic new score, Joe LoDuca proves that he’s the Bartok of blood, the Shostakovich of shock, the Mahler of the macabre.” Murawski, the owner of Grindhouse also added, as reported by ComicBook. ”The new music, new sound mix, and new 4K restoration have elevated Evil Dead from the scary to the sublime.” The dates and ticket prices to experience this reimagination of the iconic movie are yet to be revealed.
