New Post time!
Ok, so this past weekend was PSCA Spring Break Shootout. The first drag racing event of the year. so this is what happend this weekend.
Friday:
got there about 12pm chilled there got all the registration and tech done that way i didn't have to worry about it.
I was able to do two runs. i could have done more if i got there earlier, there were people that were able to do more than 8 runs. Well, i left early to come home and take my dad out to dinner.
best time 15.832 kinda slow but i'm taking that since it's my first time on a 1/4mile and a pro tree.
Saturday:
Wake up a 5:30am to be at the track by 7am.
get out there get my McD's breakfast and get to the track.
well its Qualifying day and i try my best but i blow it out my ass. fastest time was 16.845. I couldn't hook for shit and was really pissed off cause i know my car can go faster but i can't. well cause of that my dial in time is now 16.74. I'm not much happy about that. but oh well i suck i need more practice. Come home again to chill and relax and get some sleep.
Sunday:
Wake up at 5:30am to get to the track by 7am
get out there wasn't feeling to well so i just got a redbull and a snikers for breakfast.
go through the drivers meeting and go check out the brackets.
Woot! i was the slowest one in the Mustang Madness class!!! i was pretty sure i was goign to get knocked out first round.
I felt good i had this feeling i was going to break out and get DQed by my time. So we get up there i'm going against a Mach Juan and i got 4 seconds on him.
I go around the water box (which is one reason my times sucked the day before) chirp real quick and stage.
Light goes off, i stutter at the line and go, all my shifts are good and i know i had a good time. the mach couldn't catch up.
well i DQed myself by a whole second and hit a 15.712.
I went and tacked to the dude i raced after ward and he said, "i knew i couldn't catch you so i let off." which i'm happy about. cause it would suck if he would have broke something when my dial in sucked that bad.
Soooooo, all in all i had a great time and can't wait till the next event.
