If you don't like my hair, keep your fucking mouth shut. If you want to acknowledge that my hairstyle has indeed changed, yet you aren't particularly fond of it, keep you fucking mouth shut. Did your mother not teach you the "nothing-nice-to-say" rule? Even if she didn't, surely pop culture has. And if that hasn't, I will.

I mean to say, if you are white and don't understand black hair, I'm not going to explain it to you. Acting like the words "braids" or "braiding" or "weave" are Swahili and giggling while saying "I don't understand," are not going to make me take you under my afrocentric and kente patterned wing to show the ways of African American hairstyling.
