Yeah, so these Saturdays always come where I just want to distract myself and "people watch" on the internet for 3 or 4 hours until I go to sleep...Suicidegirls is very good for that and makes you feel much less pathetic than doing the same thing on myspace. So I decided to throw down the 12 bones yet again to renew for another month.
Although, the impression I've gotten lately is that SG is changing some. I know that there's new kinds of promotions and advertising going on but it seems a bit like it's losing the "alternative internet community" pedigree that it had for many years.
I can't really say though, I have never been very active on this site. I've never been to any events or even met anyone from the site in real life. To be honest, I only really lurk here, however creepy that might be. But for a long time, this one one of the most interesting places online to lurk. It was a fun and often funny place to watch, even if it is a bit cliquey here at times, and I liked being able to peer into this subculture, which I think is pretty misunderstood by 'regular-folks', whatever you want that to mean. Oh yeah, and there's a lot of beautiful girls, let's not forget that.
I suppose it still is. It just seems like it's losing/lost the feel it once had. But then again, that's what people will always say about something they've known about for a while but others are just finding out about. Kind of like that kid I knew in highschool who was listenting to nirvana since bleach and got all pissed when everyone and their cousin bought nevermind.
Otherwise, it's a long weekend, I am sick and allergic, and feel like garbage. On a good note though, it's sunny outside.
