Looking back I can remember the walks our family took through the neighborhoods. Out of all of the sights I saw, I mostly remember looking down at my own tiny, insignificant feet that I had not yet grown into nor even understood the meaning behind. I would just go as fast as I could, trying to keep up with my parents; watching their strides in unison with my own. I tried in spite and out of pride to match those long and slow, pleasant strides of my father. At some points I could reach my legs as far as my mother's, but never rivaling those of his. As time progressed I lost my boyish hips to time and my body became the curvy, fruit bearing tree that it was destined to be. My strides became hindered by those unwanted characteristics of women, and I eventually had to make up for it by taking more steps, faster steps, not those effortless steps exuded by my dad. Sometimes I try and emulate those long motions that I could once come close to, but it won't ever match up the way I want it to. In disillusionment sometimes one must wonder if they could have ever matched up. Either way, all one can do is keep walking, and choose to either hold her head up high and ignore the pace of others or keep trying for those steps that are held so dear with the hopes that one day they may compare.
True story. It just happens to go beyond (like everything else)

and no, one doesn't have to be a femi-nazi to believe in equality for all people no matter what gender, ethnicity, or race they may be.

..and I do really wonder if I'll be able to get the saem job opportunities or be viewed the same as my male counterparts. It's unjust how we get paid less and are usually hired for those jobs with lower social prestiege. How a man can do whatever he pleases and is applauded, but a woman can go out and have a good time and is labeled a whore.
