Hey guys

A slightly unsettled update today. An email from my university has put my future on this board in jeopardy; it was a round email, but it effectively says that next term any campus residences (one of which I live in) will have a much more thorough internet monitoring system applied to them and the university can monitor our net activity with more vigour. What does this mean? Well, the acceptable use policy dictates that we cannot download any pornographic material. Generally Universities in their bureaucratic singlemindedness cannot distinguish between Erotica and pornography, and so I fear that they will reprimand me for coming to SG. I'm not sure about this, but what I do know is that we get fines of 100-150 if we are caught looking at what they call 'inapporpriate material'.

I'll keep you posted, but this may mean I cannot visit this site during term time. I'm uncertain if this site counts, but I hope it doesn't It's just that I am permanently broke, and cannot afford to make payouts of that magnitude.
