i was taking my camera to work with me today, cause I thought I might take a few pics, and as I was getting out of my car trying to hold my keys and soda and camera bag I dropped the bag. Not far, mind you, but enough that it broke the 28-200mm USM lens off in 2 pieces. Camera still works, but I am sad. Now all the questions. #1 -should I work 3 weeks pt time to replace it... or #2- get a lesser lens now to get me by. (like a 28-105mm or something ) or- #3 use this "opportunity" to advance and get an IS lens or L series glass. Hey ! one can always dream , can't they. whatever

[late response from I-who-never-logs-in...] I had a great time at the Beach Party. Sorry, again, that plans got switched and TheFox & I ended up sleeping elsewhere. She did have the good idea, though -- if she hasn't mentioned this to you already -- that we should visit sometime just to hang out with you two, non-SG-style. What say?

Sorry to hear about the lens. I'm not sure what to tell you about a replacement. I'm guessing we're talking about a lot of money?
