I SKIFFLED WITH A FISHERMAN

The light I did not light,
it was not lit by me,
or one like me,
moreover it casts shards of shapes
in the form of some ill-advised (misplaced?) misanthropy,
showered in stagnant water,
by repetitions lacking the diction and duly the charm to while away
an overture into spaces previously thought raw.

I skiffled with a fisherman,
scraping a tune from his washboards to fill my days,
he remained a lake unmoved by the tides of far distant seas,
waves unwashed upon his beach.

Me?

a phantom of the sexuality we so well rehearsed,
an exchange of favours,
of flavours and of chewed meat between lips not destined for love.

A chance to see the damage in words
as only the lonely fish in a bowl can do.

lol, you got started on it yet?

question: would a full length red dress be appropriate attire or too dressy? this will be teamed with boots and no jewellery...lots of eyeliner as standard...

yes. work sucks....done so much latin that eating my eyeballs to get out of more seems like a viable option...
