the following is a letter from Elsie's mom whom i am a very good friend with and she has asked me to post this where ever i feel it will help..please keep in mind this is a mother grieving for her only child..would you want this to be your mother??:
Dear Missy,
To set the record straight, I never joined suicidegirls.com When I contacted you requesting you take down my daughter's homepage on your site I did not have a membership. You suggested giving me access to the site in hopes I would change my mind while you would work with your tech people to see if it was possible to take her site down. You said this was the first request to have a site taken down. You later contacted me to say you had archived her homepage and no one would be able to access her photos unless they already knew of her and was a fan. That is not true. If you perform a search for girls by area, state, etc. she is added to the results and one can view her site. You made it sound as if this was the best you could do since it was impossible to honor my request. This is untrue. The only thing standing in the way of my request is your refusal.
My free access to your suicidegirls.com site was continued until you decided to cancel my access. Now you have me confused with paying members asking me to rejoin, which I have no intention of doing.
I make my request once more, please take down my daughters homepage. She is dead and NO ONE should be viewing these photos of her and voting on whether her sets should go live. This is a total lack of respect for the dead. You can't imagine the grief this has caused me and I will not rest until you honor my request. The refusal on your part has caused me extreme stress and grief. It has contributed to my ill health. You are making a profit off of my daughter now that she has been dead for over a year. I am appalled and beg you to reconsider.
I look forward to your reply granting my request and giving me free access once again so that I may see for myself that my request has been honored. Then and only then will my daughter rest in peace. Then and only then can I begin to properly honor her memory.
