Margaret Cho could be the Suicide Girls' Den Mother. She's sporting some gorgeous Ed Hardy body art that winds around her waist, she's bumpin and grindin in her hot new burlesque show, and she loves naked tattooed women.

The comedic diva has won numerous awards for her human rights advocacy work including the Intrepid Award from the National Organization for Women, making feminism even foxier...

Thanx for the article, my wife and I really dig Mrgaret Cho's stand up and would love to see her perform up here in Canada. I am also going to my local video store to request they stock her DVD.
Wow, not too many guys here with comments. I feel Special!
yarnslut:
Love Margaret Cho - have seen her stand-up act several times in dallas. Would love to see the burlesque show. Love the tats on her. Saw La ink when she got the one from Kat.
The Cho Show rocked - laughed my ass off (I wish ;-)

My latest Tattoo Revue is up on a new tattoo thriller, people who fall prey to Hollywood marketing, and court ordered tattoo removal.

thanks for the advice on my girl troubles. I decided to follow your wise advice, and it feels right.

Youve got some skillz biggrin
alyk:
I didn't see her shoes, but she was wearing really adorable wool gabardine pants, and a black blouse that was wicked tight, and it looked like she had a four pack under that shirt. She was in much better shape than I had expected. And much funnier than I had expected.

But really, she was performing at a place that served champagne out of plastic tumblers, so maybe she was just funny in comparison to everything else around me.

Just came back from Bonn, Germany -- I went to for an Art and Law symposium and then the Guggenheim in Bonn exhibit. I never studied art law in law school but since I've married an artist I've largely been self-taught reading a bunch of books and sites. But I think I would like to go back to school for an LLM (an advanced law...

No need for a long introduction. You already know the work of Mister Cartoon. You see it on MTV every time Eminem reveals the portrait of daughter on his right shoulder. When 50 Cent and Joy Bryant roll around naked in Get Rich or Die Tryin', they're both flashing Cartoon tattoos. Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Missy Elliot, Pharrell, Cypress Hill, Beyonce ... a veritable who's...

Made it back from Chios, Greece last night and banged out another Tattoo Revue despite the slow news week.

Greece was beautiful despite blackouts, fires and heat waves -- and wearing long sleeves at the beach when in the presence of family. Oh, well, my tattooist would kill me if I faded my sleeves and back with sun. He's waaay into keeping the blackness.

He...

Alyk, haven't you read the IT girl manual? It's right up their with mini-dogs and Kitson sightings. It will be the speciality of Lohan's new tattoo shop.

I'm off to the airport in a few hours, chemical bombs in tow, to see my friends get hitched on the Greek island of Chios, where I spent my summers frustrating my grandmother with my lack of culinary skills. Or any of the domestic arts.

My Tattoo Revue should be up tomorrow in the SG news section..

The news of my hiatus from Needled should...

I channeled the ghost of Dangerfield on my SG Tattoo Revue column (rant?) about not getting any respect these days being heavily tattooed. You know you just aint bad ass anymore when Elton John feels man enough to mock ya.

It's up in Newsfeed. Check it.

I walk into the gym today and spot this hot guy from behind with broad shoulders, strong legs and the most perfect butt. He turns around and it's my husband. yummmmmm. I love when that happens.

Out of all these hard bodied guys in the room, he still automatically grabs my attention. Watching him lift heavy objects is a thing of beauty.

Is it so...

thanks for your comments, yes it is a sofa, simply shot just using one standard household lamp, but i moved it around until i got the lighting how i wanted it, my lecturer said that it was a beautifull print, and he rarely gives positive feedback.

This is what I'm thinking about at the moment:

If one tattooer knowingly steals the artwork -- a full backpiece -- of another tattooer, copying it EXACTLY (not just using it as a derivative work but every detail is identical to the original unique work), should the artist of the original design sue, especially as it has the elements of a perfect "test case" making...

that's what I originally thought but i've been hearing things like "pussy cry baby" passed around to describe the creator. of course, i hear these statements from disreputable artists so maybe there's the difference.
misstyrios:
I obviously know more about the legal community than the tattooing community (besides, you know, having tattoos) but I think this is something that needs to be done. I would think that any "pussy cry baby" stigma would be outweighed by the benefit this would confer on the tattoo community in general, particularly the well-known and reputable artists. It may piss off those who are willing to copy someone else's work and they may very well be the majority - but for people who take pride in their work and those who go out of their way to get work from those artists, I think it needs to be done.
