My Latest Tattoo Revue Is Up and it's all about highbrow hype associated with tattoo culture.
I have mixed feelings about using tattoo imagery in marketing luxury goods, but as a general rule, if an actual tattoo artist is getting paid for his or her art, then I'm for it.

The exhibition in Asheville is really cool .It has lots of flashes and pictures from many famous American tattoo artists from the 30's on.
For a more detailed account of my recent highbrow holiday and how I learned not to kick the asses of people who ask stupid tattoo questions, read

The staff and regulars always gave me the usual "Cheers" style welcome, the others were amusingly bewildered.
Nothing like challenging the perceptions of those who believe they are challenging the "normal people's" perceptions.
and a minor note: typically one responds to journal comments in the other person's journal, so that they are aware you've responded.
Cheers!
