Over ??? is either Iraq or Afgran I assume. I'm just a tech contractor in the most remote reaches of the desert but it is still challenging (no one botherd to clear the mines the russians left in the 80s around our compund). Stick close to you CO, verteran COs know how to bring their boys home. To much politics in these wars, the boots on the ground have done and continue to do an amazing job and you will too. Like you said one day at a time. Be safe make sure you get the real flak vest (not the nam era shit, let me know if you have trouble with that I have a buddy who just got back you might be able to help you find one).
