Thanks to Sophie's kisses, cklarock's mean kidnapping skills, and the wonderful practical advice of trucksandorweed, the headache seems to have finally gone. There's little smatterings of ache, but mostly and blessedly it is gone.

I have discovered a new method for conquering hills on my bike. Pretend you're going down hill, and there's just a bit of drag. Muck with your perspective, make your eyes see down where there is up, suddenly it doesn't seem so daunting.

I got some decent photos at the Roisin Murphy gig, although I still don't have the right equipment, so they tend to be a tad grainy. Here's my favourite:



I have a very cute hairdresser. He's lovely, a surfer, and not hairdressery at all. (Not that I've got anything against hairdressers, some of my favourite dixiebelles are hairdressers ). And he sends me out the door looking like me, not some great boofhead. It's a pity my hair only gets cut once every year and a half, not much opportunity for swooning.

The last few days have been all about spending money, headaches, and stress. But really not so bad, I'm managing to maintain an even keel. Money, grrr, money.
