The Mountain Goats last night. I wrote briefly about the show and put up some excellent live tracks from throughout the years on The Fabulist. My friend had called me while I was in the show and left me a voicemail inviting me to a party. While I would normally decline, I was in post-Mountain Goats afterglow and thought "sure, why not?" It ended up being the most hipstery party I have ever been to. I had never seen so much vintage clothing and hilarious facial hair in one place before. There were some nice folks, but more than a few insufferable, vapid, "industry" chicks. Soul sucking. I left around 130am.
I feel and (I think) look thinner, which is making me happy, no matter how much I want a patty melt and a cup of coffee. I will conquer thee, lack of self-control!
I am looking forward to July, July so much.
