So, its that time. Time for me to choose orders. Orders that will determine where I go and what I do for the next two to three years of my life.

The choices play out like this:

Japan. Several sets of orders for Japan. Ummm, no thanks.

Norfolk, VA. Fuck that.

San Diego (where I am now) at a school command. Hmmm, did that before. Liked it. May pick those.

Bridgeton, Missouri. Fucking Missouri? For the Navy? Yes... A Mobile In-shore Boat Unit. The guys who patrol rivers in Iraq and shit. Hmmm, possibility. All though these are orders for an acoustic analyst (one of my job specialties) and I have no idea how that parlays into wearing camouflage and carrying a gun, but still.

And Australia. Buh!? Fuck Yes! But I tried for these orders before and was turned down... WTF? Why are these still available?

So, tomorrow morning will see me on the phone to my detailer (the guy who gives the assignments) and finding out if I ave a chance to go to the Land down Under or not. We'll see.
