I've been fortunate enough to have made some really good friends on the site since joining and one feature I really like is that of being able to buy gifts for friends (especially those in other countries whom you might not otherwise see) who have provided a link to their wishlist on Amazon...

Sadly, I've encountered a few problems today in trying to sort out some presents for friends with birthdays coming up and thought I would mention them here...

Another problem I've encountered is when using the 'Universal Wish List' button to add things from non-Amazon websites. It's not possible to always have these sent directly to the recipient without knowing their postal address. I can of course completely understand anyone not wanting to give their address out to a total stranger (or even a person whom they've only chatted with online) but it makes for sending the gift a tad awkward... and asking for the address tends to spoil the surprise somewhat!

Lastly, when listing clothing or shoes, it's a huge help to add a note as to the size wanted (maybe under one's stats on a profile page)...

Just a few thoughts to make the sending of gifts easier and still preserving the 'surprise' element of getting a nice present on your birthday...
