Home.
Was good to see my sister in Geneva, quite an eventful trip, like I said to my family, I don't travel, I have adventures.
The outbound journey was fine till I hit Paris, there's a rail workers strike so things are a bit hectic, but I eventually get from one station to the next. At Gare de Lyon I see my train is on platform 17, so I head on over, I ask a official looking fellow where my carriage is and he points it out, I board and find my seat.
Time goes on a bit and the train hasn't left yet, a rather confused dude approaches me and says I'm in his seat. The fuck I am, this is my seat, says so right here on my ticket. He says "This train to Milan" I say "FFFFUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK!!!!!" and get off the train.
I find another official looking person and say "Double you tea eff?" she says "Sorry, you can catch next train at 1900". So I have a few hours to burn in Paris, I phone a friend, we hook up for some drinks and sit outside a cafe in glorious sunshine. Eventually I get the next train to Geneva, slightly drunk at this point and not caring the train is overcrowded because of the platform fuckup.
Geneva is really pretty, if slightly boring but I had a really good chilled weekend, my baby sister is the responsible one of the family and has a good job but damn if she isn't boring
None of the pictures I got on the camera phone are of decent quality to post, so if you search for postcard images of Geneva that was pretty much it
iPod random song of the day:
Back to work today, not looking forward to it, but I've been up since 0700 and just doing some paperwork, then going shopping for a washer, wardrobe and fridge/freezer on my break this afternoon. Really enjoying the freedom of the new place, we even have a PS3 now
That's all for now, y'all stay classy
