90 Day Fitness Challenge update

5 days left.

Over the past 3 months, there has been quite a bit of sweating. Quite a bit of frustration. Quite a bit of joy, sense of accomplishment, a slow build up of confidence. I feel like the gym is my place, I no longer feel like I stick out like a sore thumb. Strangely enough, people of all ages, shapes and sizes have asked me questions about equipment, machines, a few have even asked how to do their specific exercises...Since I love helping people, these simple things brought a huge smile to my face. I love that they felt they could ask me...and that I'd be able to help them....

I've dropped just barely over 20 pounds in the past three months. Only one injury that sent me to the gym bathroom to cry out the frustration after trying to get back into my routine after healing up. Yes, I got it out of my system and went back to the group exercise class. I was really upset because I had worked so hard and I felt like it was all slipping away. Getting back in there was the best thing I could have done.

I've gained new habits, new friendships, new goals.

Friday is my "photo shoot" for the after photos. I wish that they had set it up differently, but it's their magazine, right? Anyway, I have to wear a formal dress, do the whole fancy hair and makeup thing....and be ready to have my pictures taken at 8:30 in the morning. I think the formal attire thing is fun, but they should have planned an "after" shot in our workout clothes to compare with our original "before" shots. So, I'll get all dressed up with really nowhere to go, have my pictures taken....change into those gym clothes, then, I'll head over to the gym.

At least 3 pounds left to lose to close out this little chapter. Ready to move on to bigger and better goals with a great start under my belt. I have a target weight that would need about a 30 pound loss...but with my weight lifting and slowly building muscle, I'm not sure how that target weight goal will pan out....so for now, I'm focusing on the definite need for a 15 pound loss in the next month or so....
