So this weeks homework brought to you by @lyxzen and @charmaine is "Who is your favorite fictional character?" This was a hard choice for me because I adore MANY fictional characters and stories that they are in....however there is one that stands out....
This one is kind of obvious....and that is Mara Jade :) She is a character from the Star Wars EU (expanded universe). In fact...she's probably the strongest female character Star Wars has in my opinion. If you don't know who she is...I'll tell you a little bit about her. She was taken from her parents at a young age by Emperor Palpatine ( aka Darth Sidious) and became his servant. Soon after she became his right hand lady....literally The Hand of the Empire. She was a force user, learned hand to hand combat and was a true Sith Lord. After the death of her mentor she went off to become a smuggler/mercenary.
That lasted for awhile and then she met Luke Skywalker....ended up falling in love like a sap and married the dope. (Sorry, That's the only mistake she made hahaha.) Even taking on the name of Skywalker. She never truely lost her Sith ways though...and always fought, even as a Jedi, with passion. To her demise she was killed by her nephew Jacen (Han Solo and Leia's kid) who happened to be a Sith...so in the end it was bitter sweet...at least for me because if she hadn't gone all good...she'd still be alive.
Anyways, she's a VERY stong female character. She's a red head, she's sarcastic and witty and even blunt. I remember when I first encountered in the books....it was like reading about myself. I attached to her like I never have any character....hence why I've always used Marajade as an alias...even when gaming.
Oh did I mention she's also one of the ONLY people to wield a purple lightsaber other than Mace Windu? Pretty cool huh?!
One of my dreams is to cosplay as her and have special effects done for the lightsaber and possibly have it published in a Star Wars magazine....that would be amazing!! I also would love to have force powers....maybe someday technology will allow me to ^.^
