I have written a blog about this in the past but recently numerous stories have come up around SG from other girls and I just feel I need to write about it again.
The "Not for me" button....How about we don't use it? Because whether you think so or not...it still affects a girls set, even if we can't visibly see % on the sets, it still exists.
If a girl is not for you, it doesn't mean she is ugly, fat or whatever the reasons are that you don't like her...it just means YOU PERSONALLY don't find her attractive but that doesn't mean someone else doesn't. Beauty is in the eye of beholder. Why tear the girl down by hitting "Not for me" when you can easily just NOT LIKE the set and move on. Just give it no love and no comments to show you didn't enjoy it.
By hitting "Not for me"....You are tearing down a person you don't know. A person who has put herself out there and risked it all to be naked on the internet. And whether you think so or not, that takes some balls to do. And whether it's the photography, or the modeling or whatever you think just isn't working in the set, it's still someones creative vision and we have no right to tear it down, we just don't have to like it.
To me the "not for me" button is like leaving a nasty comment on someones facebook picture or instagram photo. What's the point? So the person can feel worse about themselves and make you feel better? Just don't like the photo and keep scrolling....doesn't that seem a bit more respectful?
And sadly (and this where I've heard recently that this has been happening with SG and hopefuls both)....there are girls going around and hitting that button deliberately on other girls sets to bring them down either because they are jealous, don't like the girl for whatever reason, or to bring other sets down that released at the same time so that her set looks better....whatever the case...it's PETTY AND RUDE!!
We are all here to support each other. Every girl here DESERVES to be here! Girls get bashed in the "real world" enough from both girls and guys.....we don't need it here. SG is for people to be accepted for who they are regardless of where they come from. And that includes members, not just the girls here. We are a community that just happens to have naked girls around. That's it. To deliberately try to hurt someone else is wrong and uncalled for. If you don't like someone, just don't talk to them.
I have honestly hit the button ONCE and it was over a year ago, when I became an official hopeful. It was before I knew that it actually hurt the girls set...I just thought it was so comments by staff could be read about the set. The girl was beautiful but the photography was so horrid!! I wrote in my comment that the girl was gorgeous and begged the staff to set her up with a staff photographer. After I realized that actually hitting that button hurt the set, I never did it again. I just scroll along if I wasnt feeling a set. But honestly, I'd say 90% of the photosets coming out now are so gorgeous, I have a hard time NOT liking them all!!
So I'm here to say....if you aren't feeling a set, if you don't like the girls look, or whatever the case is....just keep on scrolling by. There is no need to bring a girl down because she isn't YOUR type. And, on the other spectrum, if you like a girls set, don't JUST like it...COMMENT on it as well because if you want to support her, doing both will be the best thing you can do. The more comments and likes, the better the set will do.
Lets all support each other. It's mean enough in the outside world.....we need a place we can all be ourselves!!
