Yeah I hear you on some of the acting...Michael Madson dissapointed me. He had a small role, but still it seemed like he wasn't trying to act, or was trying too hard to sound like a film noir character. Clive Owens, the guy who played Dwight needed more work on his accent. I thought he was pretty cool otherwise though. This is definitely one of if not the best comic book movie I've ever seen.

Now as to God of War, I believe its a Sony America title, and thusly a PS2 exclusive. One of my friends bought it recently, and I've seen him play it. Its fucking brutal, and fucking epic. Really, they make the game feel really big. Music, monsters, story, huge levels ( Like one that's a mountain carried on the back of a titan) all add to the epic feeling. You even die later in the game and have to escape from Hades. My only gripe is that combat, while satisfying when you make use of your brutal moves and weapons, is repetitive and a little too long. The graphics push the PS2 a lot, so it slows down, especially in combat, but not enough to hinder the game. The FMVs in the game are fantastic. They have a really cool style and look great. They threw in a lot of puzzles and the like, many of which are actually really hard. None of that, "move an object over here, run across the level, come back and out another object there" shit that passes for puzzles in games like Resident Evil.
The puzzles in this one are actually pretty crazy. In one level, my friend had to run up this hall to a room. From the opposite end of the hall come and endless stream of huge flaming boulders. So after he dodges them he gets to this room and all that's there is a message saying that there are 7 (I think it was 7) doors in the hallway and only one of them leads anywhere. So he has to run back out, still dodging boulders that are behind him, and start opening these doors. Now to open them he has to lift them up, which requires a couple seconds of standing in one place. The result was geting clipped by massive boulders 2 or 3 times before he could get the door up. And he had to do this like 7 times. Its an actual challenge and the puzzles, while frustrating, are pretty damn cool.
Plus, aside from Greek Gods, graphic violence, monsters, and kickass puzzles, this game has boobies. And sex. You get to screw in this game. Something for everybody. Its rad, I'm going to have to give it a rent some time.
