So I went out today, still looking for a job. I went by the mall to check on my application at Spencer's, that's looking good. Mike, the store manager said that he would get back to me by the end of the week. I also visited Aaron Brother's craft store. They're hiring too. So, I filled out an ap. and heard the same thing for them.
I'm a little worried though, because if I get a job right now I don't know if I'll be able to help my grandpa paint his house. And I really want to help him. I need to get Greg to tell me when he thinks he'll have sometime off so we can go...otherwise I'm just going to have to go by myself. Which does not sound too appealing to me. I can't really take it out on Greg though, because he is helping hisown grandpa right now...but the thing is my grandpa is probably 15 years older and not as healthy. He isn't going to be around much longer. I don;t think Greg understands that, and I don't want to have to guilt trip him.

I don't know what to do.

I'm sure if you explain your situation to any of your future employers they'll understand...
and if they don't... then perhaps its not a work environment you want to involve yourself in...

as for Greg... guilt trips are difficult to avoid... but... (sorry if I sound sexist)...
guys also tend to lack the ability to read behind the lines...

perhaps mentioning to him how important it is to you...
and trying as best you can to not guilt...

asking him and bluntly noting how important it is to you to have his support....
adding you how you understand his prior commitments mean a lot to him...

something along those lines might be useful.

Good Luck :o)
