Wierd week - a non-work week, which as anyone who knows me realises is
an uncommon event. My new computer arrived and amazingly it worked.
Amazing because I didn't order from Dell this time, but built my own
on a Shuttle. Slightly scary when you have to plug CPUs and memory
into place, but somehow it worked. Officially "born" sometime late
afternoon on Friday and now happily all my software installed and back
having fun. It does things a little faster than I had been used to, so
my brain needs to evolve again...

"Layer Cake" is an OKish film, though I should have seen "Hero"
instead. That will come sometime this week. The acting is a little
false and although Sierra Miller had billing, was interviwed and got
to the premier, she doesn't take too much time up on screen. I am sure
it's her talent that made the news, not the cute eyes, blonde hair and
black underwear. I think she has admited that her role was all about
that. Still in love - seriously - with my little blue iPod and spend
today making up some new playlists. The joy of music. And found a
website called "The Album Club" which for £45/month sends me cool new
CDs to enjoy. It's not the cheapest, but I miss finding new tunes.
Somehow did find Interpol and played them to death this afternoon.

Had a phone call from a friend - it was supposed to be over, but it
took up three hours of our lives on Firday night She is nice, but
have no idea where this is going. And whether I want to travel there.

Watched Bush and Kerry and was slightly more impressed by Kelly this
time. I didn't think he had the passion, but he seems to.

Sad, but true. I can tell that my CPU is running at 49C. Wow
